Each week we are highlighting a different Chronic Illness Bloggers’ member as our ‘Blogger of the Week‘. As well as getting to know each other better, we hope that you enjoy this series and that you find the interviews with each member to be insightful and helpful.
This week our blogger of the week is Berice of 3 Sisters Abroad.
1. Tell us a little about yourself.
I am in my early 60’s, and have just started blogging about my travels with my sisters overseas. I have several chronic illnesses, and some days it just so hard. However, with my doctors and specialists help I have managed to get to a point where I have been able to do some traveling.
2. What is your blog called and how do you define your blog’s purpose?
3sistersabroad.wordpress.com. My blog started as a lark as we found on the first couple of days on the cruise we went on that some of the guests turned their nose up at us. We are a happy bunch of sisters taking life as it comes. We would sit in the evenings planning and plotting how the blog would become famous and a movie would be made from it. I then decided I would also write a book about it; a novel. We would laugh for hours on who would star us in the movie.
3. How long have you been blogging and why did you start?
I started blogging in August 2016, and as said, it started over a couple of glasses of wine. I have now found I love blogging and I think I have finally found my spot in life!
4. How often do you post? What made you decide to post on this schedule?
I try to blog at least every few days. I had trouble with my computer so I had to wait until a new one came. I have a friend who blogs on her travels and I saw the logo on her blog. I thought, “wow never knew this blogging site existed“. I am so grateful to have been accepted.
5. Do you feel blogging has benefitted you? If so, how?
Yes it has. I have made some amazing blogging friends and it allows me to also show case my photos of the travels.
6. Why do you feel it’s important to blog about chronic illness?
Yes i feel its important. There are a lot of people out there who feel so alone and the computer is their only contact with outside people. Its contact even though its not face to face.
7. What are your top 3 blogging tips for other bloggers?
As I am new to blogging I am still learning.
