I’m just a young woman who believes that reframing things in life can help you remain positive. There are a lot of things about my life that simply aren’t ideal. Some are by my own doing (procrastination), but some are completely out of my hands.
Sitting around wishing life away won’t help to accomplish anything. I believe that putting a positive spin on things actively improves self-esteem, personal image, productivity, and overall happiness!
One major challenge in my life is fighting chronic illness. In 2007, I was diagnosed with interstitial cystitis (a bladder pain disorder). After getting settled into a new city and new job, I was then diagnosed with epilepsy in 2011. Just as I started to feel like I was back in control, I was diagnosed with Crohn’s disease (a chronic inflammatory disease of the gastrointestinal tract) in the summer of 2012. I’m not here just to tell you all the horrible details that affect so many men and women like me. However, I am documenting the good, bad, and ugly of the challenges, victories, and adventures that I face from day to day.
My hope is that Chronically Inspired be a safe place that you can turn to for open discussion, support, and answers.
