Dancing Through Rainbows
Tackling chronic illness with humour and optimism

This blog explores my life with Fibromyalgia. Fibromyalgia (commonly known as ‘fibro’) is a chronic pain condition, usually also accompanied with a constantly shifting array of other symptoms. I also suffer with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome which features highly alongside pain, and the combination of the two impacts all aspects of normal life, from cleaning the house, driving, intimate relations, work, social events, shopping. Just everything.

I was diagnosed with CFS in 2003, and fibromyalgia in 2010. Pain has become a significant issue and now impacts every part of my life, instead of being only an inconvenient annoyance when I do too much. I am disabled as a result of my conditions and I’m trying to come to terms with that, working out how to get the most of my life despite the challenges. This blog is part of that process.

Thank you for reading.
