AutonomicRN: A “Dummies” Guide To Learning To Live As A Patient Instead Of A Nurse
In a matter of days, my career, my life and everything I knew, became a memory. Living with numerous chronic illnesses has given me a unique perspective. Especially since before dysautonomia ended my nursing career, I was caring for the chronic illness population. Seeing health care from both sides of the fence allows me to see the shortcomings and advocate for change. My blog addresses grief and loss also, as they are so big with chronic illness. We grieve for the life we once had and also grieve for the unknown. Discussing is better than pushing it down. I chronicle my health care journey in the hopes of helping someone else on this path. If I have helped even one person, then it was worth it. All opinions are my own.
