The Hidden aims to expose taboo issues surrounding diseases of the mind and body. It looks specifically at Depression, Anxiety, Dissociative Disorders, Endometrosis, Periods, Sex, Acne, Eczema and other popular subjects that are silenced due to them being embarrassing or too gruesome. The Hidden has a Series dedicated to Endometrosis, inspired by a personal diagnosis, looking at how research and treatment can be improved but also advises those suffering from the disease on daily issues. Another series is evident on the blog called Lady Talk which covers the more personal subjects around the reproductive system. As a child, periods were not a subject of conversation and since the birth of the little sister it inspired me to encourage young girls to understand their body and never be afraid to ask for assistance if they know something isn’t right.
