Despite Pain
I am in my fifties and have lived with pain since I was a teenager. Pain is normal to me, I really don’t know anything else now. My scoliosis developed when I was ten years old. Initially, it didn’t cause a problem other than ‘cosmetically’, but by my mid-teens, I was experiencing back pain. The pain became severe and chronic and meant I needed to retire from work at 28. I also have severe facial pain from a condition called trigeminal neuralgia and a few other painful conditions. A couple of years ago, I was also diagnosed with coeliac disease which means no gluten.
In my blog, I try give information about my conditions and make suggestions to help people with the problems which come up when living with pain. I try to explain how I cope with my pain by living with it rather than fighting against it.
