The chronically ill are not drug addicts. They are not of deficient moral character simply because they have a chronic illness that they do not want and did not ask for. The majority of individuals suffering with chronic illnesses are good people. What they want more than anything (other than a cure, of course) is to live their lives in peace and in as little pain as possible.
