One mother’s experience of life with Ehlers Danlos Syndrome.
Twenty-nine year old Yvonne Evans is a freelance journalist from west Cork, Ireland. She is mother to AJ and Ollie. In addition to juggling work and family life, Yvonne was diagnosed with a rare condition called Ehlers Danlos Syndrome (EDS) in 2013, one year after she was married. Other diagnoses include Orthostatic Intolerance and Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS), bowel dysmotility which are a result of her EDS. Yvonne’s children have also been diagnosed with EDS and POTS. She shares her life story about dealing with family life while being chronically sick.
